It is with great sadness we learnt of the passing of Uncle Hashim last night. On learning of his illness we went to visit him, and although we have not seen each other for years the bond of being neighbours from birth was still very strong. The closeness and feeling of family was still there. I remember him as being a wonderful person. Very quiet and peaceful. Always had a smile for everyone. We all have to depart this world one day, and I am thankful that he did not have to suffer for a prolonged period. Uncle Hashim Rest in Peace. You will be missed by all whose paths you have crossed, but you will live on always in our memories. Aunty Bibi, please accept my sincerest condolences on the loss of your soul mate. May Allah grant you the strength to carry on. You have Chico, Afzal and your grandchildren to keep you going. Chico and Afzal, please accept my sincerest condolences on the loss of your dad, and my sympathies also to your children on the loss of their grand-dad. Keep his memories alive and that will eventually bring you peace.
