Obituary of Colin Haxton Taylor

Passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener at the age of 85, just shy of his 86th birthday on June 25th.

Survived by his loving wife Marg and children Glenn (Sandra), Rob (Barb), Lynn (John) & Bruce (Jana).  His grandchildren Wes (Johana), Cameron, Michael, Kristina (Jerry), Terrilyn, Nicole, Taylor, Spencer, Grace, David, Faith & Joy and his great granddaughter Evelyn.  Predeceased by his parents Robert & Isabella (Molly) and sister Lorraine.

An avid woodworker, teacher, home builder, traveler with an excellent ear for music, Colin lived an exemplary life of humble service and enjoyment of family and friends. Colin lived his childhood in Toronto, studied drafting at Central Tech and met his lifelong sweetheart Marg Pamenter through their Youth groups. After marrying, they moved to Peterborough where he worked as a draftsman in the atomic section of the CGE. They raised their family of four children in Peterborough before moving to North Bay, Ontario, to teach Drafting and Wood Working at Widdifield Secondary.  They enjoyed spending summers at the cottage he built on Lake Talon.  Colin and Marg stayed in North Bay until their later years, when they moved to Waterloo, Ontario.
