Obituary of Margaret "Peg" Winnifred Keeler
With deep sadness, the family of Margaret “Peg” Keeler announces her passing on Tuesday July 17, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener.
Mom’s life motto was; “Always find the funny side of life”. The last ten years of her life were spent at Waterloo Heights where she was always “livening things up”. She was even a “Poster girl” on bus ads and in the newspaper for retirement living at her residence.
Throughout Peggy’s 99 years of life she achieved many things such as writing two books, hosting a radio program then CKCO TV program on education. She and her late husband, Gordon travelled extensively visiting China, Japan, Egypt, Europe, and the Amazon basin.
Peg is survived by her two daughters; Shirley Fowley, of Waterloo, Barbara Keeler-Barton of Costa Rica, Peg’s granddaughters, Suzanne, and Jacqui, and her great grandchildren, Victoria, Malory, Madeline, Kent, Maeve, and Brayden.
A Memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 1 p.m. A Reception will follow in the Kuntz House of the funeral home.
