Obituary of D. Grayce Forristal

Died peacefully at Columbia Forest LTC in Waterloo on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. 

Predeceased by her parents Vera & Cokely McLaughlin, brothers Cecil & Beverley McLaughlin, sister-in-law Marie McLaughlin, first husband Jack Murison, & second husband Ken Forristal.

Sister to Murray McLaughlin (Stratford); and sister-in-law to Dorothy McLaughlin (Waterloo) & Joyce McLaughlin (Listowel). Grayce was an enthusiastic aunt to her many nieces, nephews, their partners & children, in whom she was always interested and proud.

Grayce had a career at BF Goodrich, before serving for many years in administration at University of Waterloo’s Department of Mathematics – where she greatly enjoyed coordinating the annual math competitions and meeting the talented young students. Grayce was a keen competitive bridge player who continued studying and learning into her 90’s; had an impressive sense of grace and style; volunteered for many years with the Heart & Stroke Foundation; and, she loved her dogs – boxers in younger years and then her airedale terrier, Heidi. 

Friends are invited to share their memories of Grayce with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street, South, Waterloo from 1pm -2 :30pm on Monday, July 30, 2018 with a service of celebration in the chapel at 2:30pm.  Reception to follow.
