Obituary of Idella Louisa Hertzberger

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Nithview Home, New Hamburg at the age of 100.  Idella was the last surviving member of her family. She was born May 20, 1918 in North Easthope Twp.

Survived by daughter Beth and her husband Murray Schlueter, daughter-in-law Carolyn Hertzberger, grandchildren Karen Pilecki and Mike Tait, Krista and Paul Doupe, Blaine and Marie Hertzberger and Brett and Shauna Hertzberger and great grandchildren Julia Pilecki and Josh Pettigrew, Brianne, Dylan and Aurora Hertzberger.

Predeceased by her husband Jim Hertzberger and her son Robert, her parents Daniel and Oliva Seyler and her sisters Irene Seyler and Sally Jantzi, brothers Milton, Gordon, Elmer, Allan, Oliver, Lorne, Laverne and Norman.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Idella with her family during memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 5 – 8 p.m.  Cremation will have taken place.

A Celebration of life will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 4260 Hessen Strasse, Wellesley Township, on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Krestick officiating.  Reception to follow.
