Obituary of Marvin Victor Ross

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at Twin Oaks of Maryhill on Thursday July 26, 2018 at the age of 86.  Survived by his wife of 66 years, Doreen (nee Webster). Dear father of Mary Kuhn Lyman (Alf), Ken Ross (Doreen), Rick Ross (Darlene) and Debbie Kocher (Rob).  Loving grandfather of Robert and Steven (Laura) Kuhn, Hilary (Barrington) Lyman, David (Melanie) Lyman, Gary (Jennifer) and Stuart (Rhonda) Ross and Shaun and Mark Kocher.  Marv was blessed and enjoyed his numerous great-grandchildren.  Marvin is survived by his brother-in-law Gerry (Corrine) Webster and nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his grandparents who raised him, Charles and Mary Jones, parents Victor Ross and Thelma (nee Jones) and parents-in-law Harvey and Mabel Webster and also by his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Doug Webster and Harry and Barb Webster.

Marvin loved his career with Reitzel Rentals for over 50 years until his retirement in May 1997.  Marv enjoyed spending his spare time with his family having family outings or helping them with their home projects, camping, fishing and working with his hands.

Marvin's family will receive relatives and friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St S, Waterloo on Tuesday July 31, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday August 1, 2018 from 10:00 -10:45 a.m. with the Memorial Service to follow at 11 am in the funeral home chapel.  A reception will immediately follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. 

Interment of cremated remains will follow at a later date at Maitland Cemetery, Goderich.
