Obituary of Joan MacKnight
Peacefully at Lisaard House on July 27th, Joan MacKnight (nee Jardine), beloved wife for 61 years of Ivan (2013), loving mother of Dianne Knight (Larry) of Kincardine and Lynn Scott (David) of Ayr. Nannie of Sarah, Laura (Dan), Amanda (Jamie), Michael and Melanie. Born in Campbellton, New Brunswick in 1929, daughter of Elizabeth and John Jardine. Predeceased by her sisters Doris and Jackie and brother Jim and by 2 granddaughters in infancy.
Joan was a devoted wife, mother and a much loved Nannie to her 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, Dawn, Chase, Alexis and Gus. Joan dearly loved her church family at St Columba Anglican Church in Waterloo. She enjoyed playing bridge, reading and time spent with friends. We will miss her sharp wit and sense of humour.
The family will receive friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo on Thursday, August 2nd, from 1:00-2:45 p.m. with the funeral service following in the chapel at 3:00 p.m., conducted by Reverend Julia Gill. Reception to follow immediately after the service.
