Obituary of Vincent Davy
Peacefully passed away with his wife by his side, on Friday August 10, 2018 at the University Gates nursing home in Waterloo, at the age of 83.
Beloved husband of Hyacinth Fay Mitchell-Davy and his eight children, Erika, Sandra, Olive, Patrick, Jacqueline, Paul, Paulette, Roy. He was a grandfather to fourteen grandchildren, Jahzmine, Vanessa, Umojah, Adonijah, Garnett, Sheldon, Shemora, Keno, Novalee, Evert, Abigail, Latoya, Anastasia, as well as a great grandfather to Ava, Ezrah, Shekahi, Mathias, Amani, Ronan, Garnette junior.
Vincent (Dave) was a solid worker for Bulter Metal/Oxford automotive and always left the house with a smile on his face. In retirement, he enjoyed tending to his garden and taking long walks. Vincent could also be found either baking bread or watching baseball in his favourite chair. Domino's was his game of choice and loved to share it with his grandchildren. Fond memories will forever be with us, and he will be dearly missed.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Vincent with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Williamsburg Cemetery, Kitchener. Reception will follow at the funeral home.
