Obituary of Dorothy May Wright

Passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital after a brief illness on August 12, 2018 at the age of 84 years.

Dorothy is survived by her sons Gary (Noor Hayati Ismail) and Alan (Shelley) and her grandchildren Michael, Alyssa, Yasmeen, Laila, Sarah, Ian. She is also survived by her brothers Bill (Cecile) Moyer, Ernie Moyer, sisters Louise Edwards and Barb Blundell.

Predeceased by her parents Edgar and Doris, brothers Tom and Jim, sister-in-law Mary Moyer and brothers-in-law Claire “Red” Edwards and Ted Blundell.

Dorothy was born in Beachville, Ontario. She moved to Waterloo where she continued to reside. She was a member of the Merry Songsters of Rockway as well as a member of Parkminster United Church.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Dorothy with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, August 16 from 10 am – 10:45 am. The service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 11:00 am. A reception will be held in the Fireside Reception Room. Cremation will have taken place.
