Obituary of Eleanor Leith

Beloved wife and life partner (in their 60^th year of marriage) of Robert Leith who predeceased her in 2012.

Eleanor passed away at the age of 89 on Friday, August 10, 2018 at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener.

Daughter of the late Adam L. G. Wood and Margaret Gillan.

Eleanor was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Kitchener and a retired executive secretary for Comstock.  She was a rug hooker with the K-W Rug Hooking Guild and took part in many shows and displays across Ontario.

Eleanor will be sadly missed by her two nieces, Anne Leith of Manitoulin Island and Barbara Robinson and her husband John of Wyoming, Ontario, her cousins, Joan Cartwright, Ann Lovering and Bruce Dow, of Toronto, Ontario, Hilda and Don Todd of Wales, Amanda Gillan of Scotland and by her many friends.

A Celebration of Eleanor’s life will take place in the chapel of the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Mark Lewis officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.
