Alice was a very special lady. Her smile, laugh, generosity, kindness and her need of knowledge will be greatly missed. On behalf of the entire Golem family, we extend our thoughts and prayers to Doug, Katie and Rob. I know she has left a huge void in your lives and the lives of all the others which she touched. We will miss the times we have all spent together socializing (which means eating, more eating, talking and partaking in some form of liquids!!). Her presence will be felt in the sunshine as it beams upon on your face or the slight breeze blowing on the side of your cheek. She will be letting you know she is always watching over you all. The neighbourhood Christmas party has lost another guest but I know she will in attendance celebrating with us all. She will be the bright light on the Christmas tree.

Dear Doug,
I share my heartfelt condolences at the passing of Alice. As I am sure you know, Alice was an inspirational member of CIFST's Nutrition & Functional Foods Scientific Expert Panel, always prepared with a unique perspective to share, grounded in scientific rationale. Her commitment to the field of food science and her readiness to find solutions to the many challenges faced by the food industry was unparalleled. She will be greatly missed - socially and professionally.
My thoughts are with you and your family at this time.

Alice was our wonderful neighbour and friend to our son Jonathon. Alice always had lots of "Goodies" for the children to enjoy and many kind words.
Many days Jon would run over to the Chapmans to laugh and play with Robbie and he came to our home and filled it with laughter !
We are sorry for your loss Doug, Robbie and Katie.
Sincerely
Marti, Jon and Emily Lipinski

Dear Douglas and Family,
This is very sad news.
I looked forward to chatting with Alice at CIFST events: She was always warm and interested to share her thoughts or perspective on topics of concern. I respected her knowledge and was pleased/ flattered to refer clients back and forth with her. She left us in interesting (professional) times; surely she would have wanted to see the food regulations evolve as they will by 2022.
This is surely a loss for you and the CIFST. My thoughts and sympathies are you. May she Rest In Peace.
