Obituary of Shirley Bryden

Shirley Bryden passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 20, 2018 just one month shy of her 95th birthday.  She will be remembered as a strong, loving, generous person, who was devoted to her family, loved socializing and always lit up in the presence of friends.

She leaves behind her cherished husband of 66 years, Richard Bryden, her beloved daughters Barb (Ghost Lake, AB) and Joan (Ottawa), son-in-law Wayne Kondro, grandchildren Jaime Luykenaar (Kevin), Jennifer Smith (Marlon) of Calgary and Jill Bourget (Guy) of Canmore and great-grandchildren Aiden, Chloe, Ryder, Oskar, Zoe, Eva and Liv, to whom she will always be Gummy.  She joins youngest daughter Lisa in the Great Beyond where they are doubtless walking their dogs and laughing together even now.

Special thanks to the awesome team of caregivers at Sunnyside Home, whose compassion, patience and good humour know no bounds. You are very special people.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 7-9 p.m.  A Celebration of Life will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 3 p.m. with a reception to follow in the funeral home’s Fireside Room.
