Obituary of Dolores Emma Koegler

Passed away quietly at Columbia Forest Nursing Home on Saturday, September 22, 2018.

She will be remembered by her family as a loving mother, grandmother and sister.  Born Dolores Kunberger to Magdelina and William Kunberger on June 20, 1928. 

Mother to Bill (Joanne) and Donna Stares.  Grandmother to Brad Koegler.

Sister to Margaret Miller (John Steele) and Marlene Lennox.  Predeceased by her husband Harry Koegler and son-in-law, John Stares.  Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Dolores was a gifted soprano soloist and poet.  She loved spending time with her family and playing games whenever family visited.  She was an avid reader and deep thinker and had a wonderful sense of humour which led to many of her special poems she had written.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Dolores with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.  A celebration of life will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 22 Willow Street, Waterloo on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.  Interment at Parkview Cemetery.  Reception to follow the interment at Erb & Good Fireside Reception Room.
