It is with great sadness that Cecilia passed away peacefully at Innisfree House on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the age of 84.

Cherished wife of the late Kenneth Karges (1979).  Loving mother of Pat Schultz (John), Jim Karges (Kim), Cathy Schlupp (Mike), Brian Karges (Alina) and Karen Schlupp (Tom); loving grandmother of Christon, Bradley, Desiree, Amanda, Kyle, Kayla, Kenneth, Nicholas, Justin, Brianna, Nathan; and great-grandmother of eleven.  Cecilia is survived by her sisters Eileen Frim, Jean Chute (Ken), Leone Schuett (Ross), Mary Schartzberg (Fred), and brother John Kraehling.  Sister-in-law of June Blohm, Jerry and Alvina Karges, and Ken Kroeger.  Cecilia will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Predeceased by parents John Kraehling and Kathleen (nee Brenner), sisters Helen Porter and Marjorie Kroeger, brothers George, Kenneth, and Billy Kraehling, and brothers-in-law Don Karges (Pat), Arnie Blohm, Mike Frim and Jack Porter.

Cecilia was a longtime member of St. Michael’s RC Church in Waterloo and the C.W.L.

Cecilia’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 8:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s RC Church, 80 University Ave. W. (at Hemlock St.) Waterloo on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 10 a.m. with Rev. David Walter as Celebrant.  Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.  A reception will follow at St. Michael’s Parish Hall.
