I had just watched hockey today and that reminded me of my grandpa and that he would always talk to me about hockey and update me all the time. I would go down to the basement and his warm hand would clutch mine and than we would talk about hockey and other things. I will always miss my sweet grandpa

I worked at Sun Life and always enjoyed running into Vern. He always had something to say and chatted with everyone. Once he retired I'd see him at Waterloo Square or the Waterloo market and it was great getting caught up on his news. I also worked with Donna and Liz and wish them happy memories to keep them from missing Vern too much.

Vern was a good friend and co-worker with me at Mutual/Sunlife. We had many good games of pool there, and lots of long conversations. I always stopped to chat with Vern at Waterloo Square after he retired. My thoiughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time.
