Obituary of Joan Frances MacDougall

On Friday, October 19, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener, Joan peacefully passed away with her family by her side at age 84 years. Joan suffered from a chronic cough due to bronchiectasis.

Loving and devoted wife of Ian MacDougall of 61 years. Loving mother of Lynn Pavlik and her husband Patrick of Waterloo, ON and Heather Stanton and her husband Bruce of Coldwater, ON. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Natalie and Julia Pavlik, Valerie and Lauren Stanton. Heather’s step-children Stephanie and Jason Stanton. Survived by sister-in-law Margie Boudreau and her husband Cyrvil of Halifax, NS.

Joan will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents John and Dorothy Convery and son Richard Ian MacDougall in infancy.

A special thank you to the doctors and the many nurses and staff of St. Mary’s Hospital for all their care and understanding. Thank you to everyone at Clair Hills Retirement Home for making Mom’s past seven months special.
