Heaton, Norleen Edna (nee Koch)
08Dec1932-08Aug2019
Passed away peacefully at home on August 8, 2019 at the age of 86,
Predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Donald (2015), and her son Douglas (2009). Beloved mother of Laurel Heaton of Waterloo, Diane Polski (Adam) of Cambridge, Debra Heaton of Waterloo, and Jeffrey (Elena) of Minden. Loving grandmother of Paul and Haley Heaton, and Hayden, Emma and Jacob Polski. Cherished sister of Delrose Robinson (Calgary) and predeceased by her siblings Oswald, Ella and Norman.
Norleen was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and raised in the small village of Edenwold, Saskatchewan. After marrying Don, an RCMP officer, she moved through numerous small detachments as a Prairie officers wife, assisting in the office and coping with challenging living conditions. As their life progressed, they travelled the world. She had dinner with the Queen and was presented to the Pope, but at heart she was always the girl from Edenwold.
