My condolences to Valerie’s family and friends. We were classmates at Wilfred Laurier in the Social-Community Psych Masters program. I’m sure she had days when she was tired of the day to day struggles, exacerbated by her body’s limits, but her strong desire to win each day was always there. The photo is of her at our Halloween party - either in 1980 or 81 - with our classmates. Rest in peace Val.
I only worked for Val for a short period of time , but she was an amazing woman ! The love for her pets she had and her wacky sense of humour will never be forgotten! ❤️
She was a kind person so happy I would go up to her every time I would see her out for a walk with a helper and Ruby to say hi to all 3 of them and pet Ruby she will be sadly missed but never forgotten
