Obituary of Gwen (Gwendolyn) Thrower (nee Armbrust)

Gwen passed away on Saturday February 8th^, 2025, at Trinity Village Care Center with her daughters by her side. She was just 6 days shy from her 82nd birthday. She had been sick for many weeks and fought hard to stay with us, as she always had but God called her home, and she now rests in peace.

Gwen was a loving mother of Cindy Thrower, Sherri Ribble (Dave) and David Thrower.

She was a proud grandma of Julia Ribble-Morgan (Tyler) and Jessica Ribble.

Gwen is survived by her brothers Bill Armbrust (Mary) and Doug Armbrust. She is predeceased by Grace (Lederman) Armbrust (2009) and Jack Armbrust (1966) 

One of Gwen’s favourite things was scooting around town to visit family and friends, attend her groups and go to church. Gwen also loved puttering in the garden and her flowers. 

Mom made a lasting impression wherever she went and was loved by many!

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday February 13^th, 2025, from 5-8 p.m. The funeral service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home on February 14^th, 2025, at 11 a.m. followed by a reception at Erb & Good.

Cremation will take place the week after the funeral and a private family interment will be held at Woodside Cemetery.
