Obituary of Raymond John MacBride

June 15, 1943 – February 9, 2025

Passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at the age of 81 and reunited with the love of his life, his wife Linda (Lucibello).

Ray is survived by his daughters Cathy Dougal (Frazer) and Kimberly MacBride. Proud Papa and Grandpa to Madison, Graydon, Anthony and Luke.   Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Dorothy MacBride (Richard - predeceased), Roger Mendelson (brother), nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents, Beryl (Law) Zaykowski and John MacBride (Marg).

Ray enjoyed the tranquility of fishing - always competing to catch the first fish with family and friends. He enjoyed paddling his canoe and puttering in the garden, golfing in all seasons and searching for lost golf balls. A dog was always part of the family. In his later years, Ray took pleasure in the simplest things-his tall dark roast coffee, a newspaper, conversations with friends or new acquaintances, and his church.

Special thanks to Carpenter Hospice and its wonderful staff and volunteers, particularly Kam.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 1:00pm to 1:45pm. The funeral service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home at 2:00pm followed by a reception in the Kuntz House.
