Obituary of Jesnita Maneta Chegovo-Chitiyo

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jesnita Maneta Chitiyo (née Chegovo), who was called to eternal rest. A loving mother, devoted wife, dedicated daughter, cherished sister, and faithful servant of God, Jesnita touched many lives with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Keith Chitiyo, and their treasured children, Christian, Zechariah, Hannah, and Trinity. She also leaves behind her father Dignity Chegovo,  dear siblings Constance Nyasha Chegovo and Bothwell Munyaradzi Chegovo (father to Amy and Nathan, and husband to Kudzayi Matsanga-Chegovo), along with extended family and a community who loved her dearly. She now joins her beloved mother Lynnettie Mutsikwi-Chegovo in eternal rest, reunited in God’s everlasting peace.

A dedicated Elder in the Forward in Faith Church, an adventurous member of the Quadruplets, and a proud alumni of Victoria High School, Class of 1993, Jesnita's legacy of faith, love, and unlimited service will forever be remembered.

The funeral service will take place in the chapel of the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. The family will then receive visitors from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Williamsburg Cemetery, 1541 Fischer Hallman Rd., Kitchener.

Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in the promise of God’s eternal love.
