Obituary of Michael "Mike" Kenneth Dietrich

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Freeport Hospital, Kitchener on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the age of 77.

Loving husband of Debbie (nee Seip) Dietrich, for 50 years. Cherished and beloved father of Melissa (Cris) Waurechen and Sheri (Jim Haggerty) Dietrich. Will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Dylan and Lily Waurechen and granddoggers Ruby and Sophie.

Predeceased by his parents Bernice (nee Mayer) and James Dietrich.

Mike obtained his Tool and Die Maker certification from Fanshawe College and worked in the trade for over 45 years.

He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and watching the stars. In retirement he found entertainment in watching movies especially about the weather and catching all of the Toronto Blue Jays games. 

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of St. Mary's Hospital and Freeport Hospital for providing such wonderful care for him in his final days.
 

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. A private family graveside service will be held at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
