Obituary of Pauline Linda Medland

Pauline Linda Medland (Nee Becker) passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025 in her home.

Pauline is survived by her children Sue Thiemann and Vic Medland and daughter-in-law Jane Medland (nee Dunleavy). She is a treasured nana to Brett and Colton Medland and Pauline and Jake Thiemann. Lovingly remembered by her brother Ed Becker and her four nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband of 62 years Victor Charles Medland (2022), and her beloved dog, Molly.

Pauline was born August 1, 1942 in Nikopol, Ukraine and immigrated to Canada in 1952, becoming a citizen in 1960. She married Vic , the love of her life on November 28, 1960. Together they built a home in St. Catharines close to family and many friends. Pauline spent every summer at the cottage in New Liskeard and many winters with family in Florida. She was profoundly proud of her grandkids. She lived with a quiet determination and found pleasure in puzzles, crafting and soaking up the sun, as well as a good glass of wine. Pauline was a sharp mind and an avid bridge player. For Pauline, family was always her number one priority and she will be missed deeply.

Cremation has been entrusted to Erb & Good Family Funeral Home in Waterloo.
