Obituary of Laraine Ida Schmidt

Passed away peacefully on February 22, 2025, at Parkwood Mennonite Home in Waterloo. After a long battle of life, diabetes for 59 years, plus everything else she fought, she is now at peace.

She will be missed by her three great-grandchildren Logan, Linkin, and Leo Paul, who she loved greatly. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Philip Schmidt; her two sons Steve and Kevin (Tania) and her grandkids Kate, Nick, and Shawn.

“Laraine was a great lady and companion throughout the years. We did everything together. So God bless and forever loved and never forgotten.”

Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Laraine’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
