I shall always remain grateful for the opportunity I had to re-connect with Suzanne in the latter years of her life. She being a much older cousin was rather a distant mystery to me in my growing-up years, one who always so much more aligned with the aunts than her cousins. At least we, the younger cousin gang.
In recent years, her health failing, the fiercely independent , in-charge, and self-assured Suzanne, revealed the more vulnerable person within her to me. An invitation of need being one that enabled me to know her so very differently.
I feel blessed to have had this gift and wish to extend my heartfelt sympathies to Jim, Barb and Dave, Chris and Irene, and their families.
May Suzanne rest peacefully with all of those she loved who went before her into Heaven and with whom she so longed to be reunited. Yes, and in her own kind of way with her beloved poodles, Toby and Nico also. And of course, her God.
Much love, Miriam
