Mom was one of the best I remember her driving from waterloo to Kitchener in a snow storm after I fell against a plate glass window to take me to the er (there were a few trips like that) and she never complained once but that’s just how she was she worried more about others than herself
Something else she did was a lot of volunteer work after I moved into Eby Village she joined the board of directors at the house of friendship she and I sat on the board for (me 8 years) and she did 10 years

Since I first met Liz, I loved being with her, hearing about those she loved and what she was doing. We went to school together, at least at St. Mary's High. I'm remembering all of you, her family, teachers, and friends and sending you healing light and love . . . especially for the often unexpected moments when you miss her most, Abundant blessings, Sister Barbara Paleczny SSND

Mrs. Payne was my Grade 4 teacher in the early 80's at St Paul's. She was an absolutely awesome teacher. I still remember one assignment where she had us all write a letter to a favourite celebrity/hero. She mailed off any that she could and shared the responses with the class. I had written mine to Gene Kelly as Singing in the Rain was my favourite movie. No doubt she had no idea where to send that... She responded with a lovely note signed "Your Friend, Gene" and even though I knew it was her hand-writing it was just magical! She made learning in her class wonderful for all of us. We were all changed for having been in her class. She was cherished and will truly be missed.

Liz was the Special Education teacher at St. Joseph School in Cambridge back in the early 1990's when I was a young teacher. She was an exceptional teacher and an emotional rock for the students who needed guidance. She was also a mentor for me and the group of young teachers who worked at our school at that time. Liz, you were an outstanding human being and you touched many lives.

Deepest Sympathy to Liz's family. She was a lovely lady and always took the time to chat when our paths occasionally crossed. My father Stan Bezruki worked with Liz's father Wilf. Our families would gather occasionally and always enjoyed seeing John, Jimmy and Liz. Especially loved the trip to their cottage.
Cherish your wonderful memories.

Knew Liz since Grade School and dated in High School. Remained friends all these years having met Howie and the boys since they were kids. Sent a "rescue package" during COVID to her at The Terrace. No longer in pain which pleases me. Godspeed. - Ken Johnson

We will miss this lovely friend with her beautiful smiling face that we treasured for 50 years. Her and Howie were a member of our group of “forever” friends that enjoyed getting together for the “standard bred” horse races, trips to Horseshoe Valley for New Year’s Eve celebrations, and our group that volunteered to clean up the Town Line Road Car Park. Many times of just being together, that we will miss so very much. She will always be in our hearts and memory…….
Much Love, Val and Wayne Freund
