Passed away peacefully at her residence in her 84th year.
Dear sister of Sheila (Doug) Gowing and Robert (Linda) Kraehling. Cherished aunt of Sherry (Fred) Beverly, Troy Gowing, Todd (Bonnie) Gowing, Charlene (Ian) Martin, Janet (Mike) Collins, Jason Kraehling (Aimee), Laura (Johnny) Boronka and Amy (John) Papa. She will be fondly remembered by many great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Elmore and Katherine (nee Heidlinger) Kraehling.
Marilyn was a lifelong member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, St. Agatha. She had a dedicated 49 year career with Raytheon Canada and a few years with Marsland Engineering. Marilyn loved spending time with her precious friends and all who made her life complete. She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures: playing baseball, broomball, golf, bingo, bowling, card groups, and taking memorable trips to the casino. She was a dedicated Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Her love for travel took her on many exciting adventures. Marilyn was a dedicated member of her community and received many awards from the Red Cross for her blood donations. She also volunteered with the Waterloo Region Food Bank.
Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, May 1st from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. and Friday May 2nd from 12:30 – 1:15 p.m. The funeral service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 1:30 p.m., with Pastor Leanne Darlington officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service in the funeral home’s Fireside Reception Room. Interment to follow at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, 1363 Erb’s Rd., St. Agatha.
