Obituary of Shelley Lorraine Des Cotes

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Waterloo Regional Health Network – Queen’s Boulevard (Formerly St. Mary’s Hospital), in Kitchener, Ontario.

Survived by her husband and partner in life, Steve, her son James Frangos, granddaughter Harper and niece Sara Taylor (Vancouver).

Predeceased by her parents, Bruce and Aileen Taylor and her brother, Gary Taylor.

Shelley was born in London, Ontario, and graduated from Western University. She worked for Prudential Insurance early in life until they were sold. She then ran a computer support company specializing in teaching seniors.  She also taught computers at Conestoga College. Her passion in life was being a Kiwanian. She held many offices up to Lieutenant Governor, but her passion was Key Club, the high school level of Kiwanis, where she held the role of administrator for all of Eastern Canada for 5 years and was the Kiwanis advisor for 2 Key Clubs.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Shelley’s life will take place at a later date.
