Obituary of Joyce Vivian Tucker

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joyce Tucker, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Joyce is reunited with her parents, Pearl and Clifton Reid, and her brother, Howard Reid.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Earl Tucker, and their children Barbara Starczala (Stephen), Carol Tucker, Diane McMahon (Doug) and Mike Tucker (Kim McBride). Joyce was a loving grandmother to Rev. Hayden Starczala, Emily Starczala, Eric Starczala, Hailey McMahon, Jacob McMahon, Colton Tucker and Paige Tucker. 

She will be deeply missed by her aunt, Isabella McLellan, and her siblings: Donna Kalan (Rich), Ron Reid (Donna), Lois Schmidt (Leonard), Brenda Schmidt (Terry), Janice Reid, Alan Reid, Ken Reid (Debbie) and Kevin Reid. Joyce is also remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Joyce’s family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Rosenstein for 26 years of compassionate care. They also express their gratitude to the Dialysis Unit staff and the dedicated team at Hospice Waterloo Region for their exceptional support and care in Joyce’s final days.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens, 2723 Victoria St. N, Breslau. Reception to take place at Erb & Good’s Fireside Reception Room following the interment.
