Obituary of Donna Rose McCorkindale

Donna Rose McCorkindale passed away peacefully on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the age of 79 in Waterloo, Ontario.

Donna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She leaves behind her husband of 60 years, Jamie, and their children Chris, Ian, Kevin, and Debbie. Her grandchildren remember her as endlessly kind and always ready with a warm smile and listening ear. Donna was a cherished grandmother to Shaina, Jaimie, Avery, Maddison, Lexie, Regan, Quinn, and Rhys. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister Pat and daughters-in-law Amber, Eleanor, and Angela.

Donna lived a life centered on family, routine, and the quiet joys of everyday moments. She had a deep love for nature, often found walking the trails near her home or tending to her gardens. She enjoyed travel from Canada and USA, coast to coast, to Mexico and the tropics, Central and South America as well as Europe. Donna was an avid reader, always lost in a good book, and had a special place in her heart for dogs, both her own and any she met along the way. 

Donna’s calm presence and thoughtful nature made her someone you could always count on. Her warmth, gentle humour, and love will remain in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her. 

In keeping with Donna’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
