
Obituary of Melvyn John Jameson
Passed away peacefully with family by his side, on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at University Hospital – London Health Sciences Centre due to complications from heart surgery, at the age of 78.
Survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Brenda (nee Schnarr), also survived by his brother Carl and his wife Tracy Jameson, his sister Sheree and her husband Mick Livesey, by nephew Adam, his nieces Natalie, Sarah and Georgia, great-nieces Lola and Orla, all of England. Also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Deb and Rod Courtemanche, nieces Melissa, Meagen, Katie and Brittany, great nieces and nephews Maddy, Gabe, William, Harper and Sawyer.
Predeceased by his parents, Paul and Edith Jameson of England, father and mother-in-law, Orval Schnarr, Wilma Schnarr and sister-in-law Susie Gropp.
Born in England, Mel came to Canada in 1979 when he married his loving wife, Brenda. They resided in Waterloo until moving to Dresden, ON, 5 years ago. Mel was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 113, Dresden, where he enjoyed playing darts on a Tuesday evening with the gang. Mel had a passion for gardening, receiving a special mention for helping beautify the tables and shed on the patio area at the legion while also meticulously maintaining his own yard and flowerbeds.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held Sunday June 1, 2025 from 1 p.m. -5 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 113 Dresden ON, in lieu of flowers condolences for the family and donations can be made to the Critical Care Department LHSC may be arranged through Erb & Good Funeral Family Funeral Home at 171 King St. S.
