Obituary of Elizabeth Boyd

Passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, May 25, 2025, with Tom by her side. Betty was in her 97^th year.

Loving wife and best friend of Thomas Boyd, married for a wonderful 68 years.

Betty was born and raised in Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1955. She dedicated 35 years to a career in education, working as a schoolteacher in various cities across the country, Scotland, Millbrook, Campbellford, Notre Dame, Toronto, and Ottawa. She spent the final 18years of her career at Waterloo-Oxford District Secondary School in Baden, Ontario before retiring.

Betty enjoyed gardening, reading, knitting, travelling and most importantly her friends.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday May 29, 2025 from 6 – 8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, 173 Lourdes St., Waterloo on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 10 a.m.  A reception will follow the mass in the parish hall. A private family interment will be held at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Caledonia.
