Obituary of Marie Margaret Sinclair

Marie Margaret Sinclair passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 in her 93^rd year.

Marie is survived by her brother Pastor George Strack (Margaret), her children Deborah Budd (Craig) and Jim Sinclair (Angela), and deeply missed by Bill Koegler (Son-in-law), her grandchildren Krista Sinclair-Valladares Gochez (Julio), Christopher Budd (Jenn), Amy Woroch (Mike), and Bradley Koegler (Kim), as well as her great-grandchildren Hayden Woroch, Trevor Woroch, Abigail Valladares, James Valladares, and Ava Valladares.

She was predeceased by her husband Donald and her daughter Joanne Koegler.

Marie will be remembered for her cake decorating talents, including wedding cakes, birthday cakes, and special occasion cakes. Her skills also included wood carving with the Owls Nest and Grand Valley Wood Carvers, and knitting baby blankets. Marie loved Oliphant and the family cottage and trailer. She was up for any adventure, such as playing goalie on the backyard rink with a broom, and riding the mini bike at the cottage. She was also fond of playing Uno and Crokinole with Don, George, and his wife Margaret.

Friends and relatives are invited to a Visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, June 2, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home’s chapel on Tuesday, June 3 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will immediately follow in the Fireside Reception Room. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery.
