Our hearts go to Robina and Liam(whom we never met) and to the family of Kyong Fah. May you find comfort in our Lord's tender presence.
Three blessed moments with KyongFah (not yet married) resurfaced: Once he visited us and he suggested that he plays the guitar and we sing a few Christian songs together.
Another time we had a gathering of Christians in our home and he offered to cook dinner for all of us.
He did meefoon frit.
A third time, he suggested to invite a foreigner, a brother in the Lord in our home after church service and that he'll buy KFC for all of us present.
Those were sweet memories of him and when he announced us of his marriage with Robina, we were so happy that the Lord gave him a good wife.
Sure we'll meet again Kyong Fah in that celestial land

We were shocked and so saddened to learn the passing of Monsieur Kyong who was my son (Alexandre)’s teacher for the past two years at l’Harmonie. Monsieur Kyong was such a patient, dedicated and wonderful teacher. He helped Alexandre so much. He also shared his passion for geography and cooking (the madeleines have become our family’s favourite recipe) with the class. He will be missed.
Our deepest and sincere condolences to the family of Monsieur Kyong.

Grace, Genna, and family
Family is more than just blood. It is made up of the people who are there for you through out the highs and lows of life. That’s exactly who Kyong was for us. God knew that we needed someone like him, so he sent him to us. We will forever be thankful for the memories and moments we had with Kyong. From teaching me (Grace) how to drill a pilot hole, to the weekly dinners that lasted for hours, we will forever be grateful. Kyong you have made such an impact in our lives and we were lucky to have gotten to know you.

Robina & Liam, Am so sorry to hear of your loss, our loss. What a beautiful man, husband , father, friend and disciple of Our Lord Jesus Christ! Kyong was God's handiwork, formed by The Word of God Himself, surrendered to His Savior and truly living the life in Christ we are called to. His Redeemer has called him to eternal peace and joy, and so we accept and we rejoice!
I pray God's peace, comfort and joy at this time for you and all loved ones.
I thank God for all the beautiful memories, especially as we gathered to study the Word, and share the good food the Lord provided..
Robina, I truly wish I could be there with you at this time. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and let us keep in touch!
May Kyong's soul find rest in the Lord!.

I remember Kyongfa as someone who was gentle, generous, and kind. You were also an amazing cook.
When I had just landed in Canada in 2006, it was such a blessing that you took the time to show me around Toronto. You explained how the TTC worked and helped me understand the rhythm of life in this new city. You even brought me to a Service Canada office to apply for my Social Insurance Number. You were so generous with your time.
I remember when your mom was visiting—you hosted our family so warmly. We were blessed not only by your fellowship but also by the delicious Mauritian dishes you thoughtfully prepared: gnoukyan, saomai, and beef balls. I still recall you telling me that here in Canada, we could use kohlrabi (chou-navet) instead of chayote (chouchou).
During that visit, we were also amazed at how handy you were—you had renovated your basement all by yourself! Your generosity and hospitality shone brightly again as you welcomed and hosted a Mauritian family in need, who had just left Val-d'Or, Quebec.
Years later, when you told me you were changing your career to teaching and starting over, I was so inspired by your courage, vision, and commitment.
Through all these memories, your kindness and gentleness remained your signature. You truly touched the lives of so many.
I take comfort in knowing that you loved the Lord Jesus, followed Him as His disciple, and are now in His presence.
We will meet again, Kyongfa—for this is the hope we have in Jesus.
Robina and Liam, may the abiding presence of the Lord be your source of comfort, guidance, and strength.

Dear Kyong
You have been a guiding light for all of us at SCF, and the impact you made on each one of us will never be forgotten.
I vividly recall the early days in 1998 when we were diligently preparing the constitution to affiliate with IFES. Your vision and dedication were instrumental in shaping our organization, and your passion for our mission inspired us all.
You and Robina were the pioneering board members of SCF at its inception.
The memories of our student camps are filled with laughter and camaraderie, largely thanks to your unwavering support and interpersonal skills. You were really a good leader and always promoting our unity. Moreover, you were a talented cook who brought joy to our camps with your delicious dishes.
You were always a cheerful giver. Even from Canada, you committed to donate annually to the SCF funds. Your support has made a significant impact, and we are truly grateful for your unwavering dedication.
Beyond your practical contributions, you were a source of joy, love, and care for everyone around you. Your deep spiritual insight enriched our Bible studies, and your ability to engage in thoughtful debate challenged us to grow in our faith.
As we reflect on the legacy you leave behind, we are grateful for the time we shared and the lessons we learned from you. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will continue to inspire us as we carry forward the mission of SCF.
Your memory will undoubtedly remain cherished in our hearts forever.
With heartfelt condolences to Robina, Liam and Li Ting Foong’s family.
Praying for God's comfort, strength, and peace to surround you during this time of bereavement.

Dear Kyong,
From our high school days to university, and then migrating to Canada, we journeyed through many seasons together laughing, learning, and growing in both faith and friendship. Your practical wisdom, quiet strength, kindness, and humility shaped the lives of those around you. You truly lived with a Christ-like servant’s heart. You sowed the Word of God and prayed for others when opportunities arose.
When you made the bold decision to shift from engineering to teaching, I was deeply impressed by your courage to start your career over again. It spoke volumes about your values. You made it a priority to give Liam the opportunity to a strong education and faith in Christ. You always put your family first, thoughtfully choosing what would best serve them.
Thank you for being more than just a schoolmate. Thank you for being a faithful friend in Christ. I carry your memory with deep sorrow, but I am also grateful you are now in a much better place enjoying the presence of our Lord.
Until we meet again,
Michael, Pin, Nathan, and Lukas

I remember very clearly the first day I met Kyong and Robina, a lovely Mauritian couple who had just moved to Canada and expecting a baby. We became friends right away as they were so genuine and kind-hearted. We enjoyed the conversation in creole and discovering what brought them to move here. We later went to their house in Scarborough where they warmly welcomed us. We spent great moments together as we got to know each other and as Liam was born and grew. I remember the tender loving care that Kyong and Robina had for each other. Kyong, I will never forget your warm kindness for everyone around you, and what a great friend you were. I know you will watch over Robina and Liam from above, and the rest of us will be here for them. Goodbye dear friend Kyong and rest in peace.
Robina and Liam, I pray that you stay strong, as Kyong would want you to carry on. Please know that we are here for you and are keeping you in our prayers.
To Kyong’s siblings and mom, and to Robina’s family - it is never easy to say goodbye to u beloved brother, son, son in law, brother in law. Please find comfort in knowing that Kyong is now in a better place.
Goodbye Kyong and my sincere condolences to Robina, Liam and Kyong’s and Robinàs families.

I first met Kyong through Robina, who worked with me at the time. They were renovating their first house in Scarborough and Kyong was doing much of the work himself.
He borrowed my table saw which I was more than happy to deliver since I owned a pickup. When the project was completed, I said I would come back and get it one day after work as they only lived a short distance away. Furthermore, the saw would not fit into their vehicle. Instead, rather than inconveniencing me, Kyong insisted on collapsing it into pieces and bringing it to my house about 40 km away.
Since this was still not enough for him, he went to Home Depot and purchased a brand new blade, which was totally unnecessary. I still have the unused blade sitting in the garage and always think of him every time I see it.
As I got to know him, Kyong was a person who always gave more than he got and showed it in the most humble of ways. I never knew him to speak badly about anyone or raise his voice and would be there for you in times of need.
We will pray for his soul and ask God to bestow His blessings on Robina and Liam that they can carry on living in the peace of the Lord.

Cher tonton Kyong Fa,

When life was hard, i brought you to kindergarden on bicycle not knowing how to follow the traffic signs, one day riding on the right and another day riding on the left but we have been able to make it together. When you started primary school, I used to hold your hands to go to school like a mum. These are the things that I will never forget.
I am, forever, grateful you shared the Gospel to me and today I am a follower of Christ because of you. Now where you are, you are in the best place where there are no sufferings in the laps of Jesus resting. When I have been through trials, you were there to pray and help me. You left us with tremendous emptiness which will be difficult to fill in.
Your sister, Allane, who will miss you a lot.

I want to take a moment to remember someone whose presence left a lasting mark on all who were lucky enough to know him.
Kyong loved deeply, listened with care, and gave so much of himself without ever asking for anything in return.
It’s hard to believe he’s gone. We miss him more than words can say—but we carry him with us. In our memories. In our hearts.
We were lucky to know you, and we’ll never forget you.

KYONG ,
You gave no one a last farewell, nor ever said goodbye.
You were gone before we knew it, and only GOD Knows why.
A million times we will miss you. A million time we will cry.
If love alone could save you, you never would have died.
In life we loved you dearly. In death we love you still.
In our heart you hold a place, no one else can fill.
It broke our heart to lose you, but you didn’t go alone, for part of us went with you,
the day God took you home.
We will meet again someday I know in a better place.
I thank God, he made you our brother while you were here on earth.

We will forever miss you Kyong! How lucky we are to have met you and Robina when we came to Canada as new immigrants. We two young families explored the new country together, grew together and experienced together! We shared many memories over the last 20 years…moved into your new home, car broke down, when Liam was born, Liam’s first birthday, bible studies, many nights of get together with the delicious food you made. You are that vivid person filled up our memories with so much joy and love. You always put others before yourself, you are never short of love and care towards everyone around you. You are always there, you never left!
