It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Trinity Joyce Brock Grant on Monday, June 2, 2025, at the age of 23. Born on January 19, 2002, at home in Waterloo, Trinity was a beloved daughter, sister, partner, and friend to all who knew her.

A bright and effervescent spark in this world, Trinity was the cherished daughter of Douglas and Heather (Brock) Grant.  She was a devoted sister to Noah (Kate Priebe), Caleb (Rachel Heslinga), Isaac (Rebecca Hecht-Enns), and a loving partner to Rob Guthrie. Her family was her anchor, and she embraced her role within it with warmth, care, and the proper amount of sibling teasing.

Trinity’s professional journey led her to work as a medical receptionist at University Downs Family Practice in Kitchener, where she dedicated herself to helping others. A scholar at heart, Trinity earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo, especially enjoying her time in the labs, and had recently been accepted to a Master’s program in Anatomy, a testament to her passion for learning and her deep curiosity about the human body.

Her love for nature radiated through every aspect of her life, from tending to sunflowers to sharing her knowledge as a plant aficionado. Her affection for animals, especially riding horses, her dogs and others’ cats, brought her immeasurable joy and reflected her gentle spirit. Trinity’s laughter, kindness, and passion for life touched everyone she encountered, demonstrating her compassion and curiosity that will endure in the hearts of those who loved her.

Trinity appreciated beauty in all its forms. She demonstrated exceptional creativity through her proficiency in piano, her skill in painting, and her craftsmanship in producing frog-themed handmade items for her business, Toad Stitch Studios.

Trinity struggled with mental illness for nine years. She repeatedly sought out treatment and care in her efforts to overcome. Trinity is now free, walking side by side with Jesus in the embrace of heaven, where her gentle spirit shines ever brighter amidst boundless peace and love.

Forever in our hearts, Trinity’s light will shine bright in the lives she touched and the world she sought to make better.
