It was with great sadness that I learnt of Uncle Mike's passing. He was a lovely man, gentle and kind to my children in the mid 90s. Unfortunately distance prevented us from seeing him as much as we would have liked, and poor health ended up making international communication very difficult. The Obituary sums him up perfectly. We last spoke around 2020 and I recall he made the point of speaking with great fondness about his friends Marie and Suzanne, to whom I would like to say thank you (on behalf of the wider UK family) for being so caring.
