
Obituary of Peggy Reitzel
Peggy Reitzel nee Cheeseman, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on June 18, 2025. She will be dearly missed by her children: Meaghan, Laura (Jeremy), Kelly (Kevin), and Patrick (Brittany); and her cherished grandsons, Brian and Baby Brightwell.
Peggy will be greatly missed by her siblings, Peter (Shelly), Stephen (the late Marianne), Maryanne (Brian), and Norma (Pat), her many nieces and nephews, as well as the entire Reitzel Family.
Peggy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joe Reitzel; her parents, Norman and Madeline Cheeseman; and her in-laws, Michael and Bernadette Reitzel.
Peggy was blessed to have many life-long friends from many avenues throughout her life, and her joy for sharing experiences with those she loved gave her true happiness.
Peggy will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, infectious laugh, and unwavering love. Her warmth and joyful spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Peggy’s exceptional care team: Dr. Husien, Dr. Valdes, Dr. Glick, Dr. Dai, and the Paramed Palliative Nursing Team.
Visitation for Peggy will be held at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Saturday, June 21 from 6pm-8pm, and Sunday, June 22 from 2pm-4pm. Her funeral will be held at St. Agnes Parish, 75 Bluevale St N, Waterloo, ON N2J 3R7 on Monday June 23, 2025 at 11am.
