Obituary of Roger de Slegte
Passed away peacefully on Friday, June 20, 2025 at the age of 79.
Roger will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his son Kevin de Slegte (Cheryl), daughter Christine Voelzing (Jeff), nephew Phil Briere, grandchildren Chuck Fernandes (Marta-Maria), Marc Fernandes Jr. (Deborah), Gabrielle Voelzing, Andrew Coutu (Sarah), Brydon Voelzing, Katrina de Slegte (Andrew), and Sabrina de Slegte (Ethan), and his great-grandchildren Wesley, Payton, and Mia. He is also survived by his siblings Gil, Lil, Rita, Ed, and Harry, many nieces and nephews, and his long-time friend Fred Babineck.
Roger was predeceased by his wife Betty Ann, parents Arie and Gertrude de Slegte, and his brothers Pete and Rick.
Roger was funny, with a great sense of humour, and he had a heart of gold. He enjoyed travelling, drag races, and the casino. He was employed by Schlueter for 40 years.

Cremation has taken place, and a private family graveside service will be held.
