Obituary of Victoria Shen-Ying Pan
With heavy hearts and deep love, we share the passing of Victoria Shen-Ying Pan, who left us on the morning of June 17, 2025. Born on May 2, 1983, in Kitchener, ON, Victoria was the beloved daughter of Boris and Katy Pan and cherished sister to Antony, Henry, and Wendy. Victoria, or Vicky, as many of us knew her, had a heart full of kindness and always saw the good in others. She brought warmth, laughter, and compassion to everyone lucky enough to know her.
She loved playing games, binge-watching her favourite shows and movies, and most of all, spending quality time with her family. A true foodie, Vicky loved watching MasterChef, experimenting in the kitchen, and sharing both new dishes and old favourites like pizza, steak, and spaghetti with those she loved.
Vicky was a romantic at heart, always full of love and passion. She dreamed big, believed in soulmates, and was never shy about sharing her celebrity crushes or pop culture trivia. She had a gift for storytelling and could talk for hours about the shows and stars that made her smile.
She loved going on walks through malls, parks, and local festivals like Ribfest, Jazzfest, and the Paris Fair. Simple joys like building teddy bears at Build-a-Bear, catching the latest movie, or having deep chats with her mom or siblings meant the world to her.
Victoria had a special love for Christmas – the lights, the music, the movies, and most of all, the time spent together as a family. She made the holidays feel magical with her warmth and excitement.
Victoria was also a proud and loving aunt, always eager to make her nephew laugh, feel special, and know he was deeply loved.
We will celebrate Victoria’s life at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., followed by her burial at Parkview Cemetery, 335 University Ave., Waterloo, at 2:30 p.m.
Our family is so grateful for the love, support, and condolences we’ve received. Thank you for being part of Victoria’s life and helping us to honour her beautiful spirit.
