Obituary of Bessie Louise Rawlings

Passed away peacefully at the Waterloo Regional Health Network Queen’s Blvd. (formerly St. Mary’s General Hospital) on July 1, 2025, at the age of 100.

She was predeceased by her husband, Fred Rawlings. She is survived by their son James; their son Ian and his wife Carol; Bess will be greatly missed by her granddaughter, Allison Rawlings of Chestermere, AB, and her partner Micheal Parent. 

Bess was predeceased by her parents, Guy and Annie Neal; her brothers Alex, Milton, Donald and Robert (Bucky); her sister Doris McMahon, her brother-in-law Jack McMahon and her sister-in-law Marydean Neal. 

Cremation has taken place. At Bess’s request, there will be no memorial service. She wished to express her gratitude to all those who showed her so much love and kindness during her life.

In lieu of flowers or donations, Bess’s family kindly requests that you hug someone you love and embrace the little moments, for those are the moments that live on in our hearts and memories.
