Obituary of Sharon Mary Robb

It is with profound sadness and love that we announce the passing of Sharon Robb. Sharon passed away peacefully on June 30th at Grand River Hospital with family by her side. Tragically, on June 28th, Sharon suffered from a fall, which caused a major brain injury, which led to her death.

Sharon is mourned by, and will be greatly missed by her loving husband, John Robb, her sister Shay (Bob) Griese, sister-in-law Suzanne (Larry Feil) Whitney, her beloved nieces Lauren Whitney, Julia (Tom Brennan) Whitney, Norrah Whitney, Jade Whitney, and her nephew Joe (Sonja) Whitney.

Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Joan and Leo Whitney, and her two brothers, Michael and Mark Whitney.

A Waterloo native, Sharon attended WCI, Cornell University, and the Banff School of Fine Arts. She later worked in Toronto at the O’Keefe Centre and in Montreal for Drake Personnel. She then embarked on a very successful career in real estate in KW.

Sharon and John fell in love and were married on February 15th, 1980. Sharon was a fabulous cook and loved to read. She had impeccable taste in fashion and décor and was a talented interior decorator. Sharon loved all animals, especially her pet dogs. She often said that when she got to Heaven, she would be reunited with Chelsea, Trixie, Tuffy, Toby, Daisy, and Beaver.

Sharon's request was to be cremated, and she did not want a visitation or a funeral. There will be a private celebration of Sharon's life at a later date.

The family would be remiss if we did not commend the wonderful doctors and nurses at Grand River Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion at such a sad time.

In lieu of flowers, condolences for the family and donations to the Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth can be arranged through the funeral home at 519-745-8445 or www.erbgood.com
