Obituary of Herbert Emil Reiser

It pleased God Almighty to call Herb Home from this life on June 28th, 2025 at the age of 91 years.  He passed away peacefully into his Heavenly Home at Grand River Hospital.

He was born January 18th, 1934 in Karlshrue, Germany.  He immigrated to Canada in 1953.   After leaving Germany, he continued his passion of cycling his entire life.

Herb had many jobs from farm hand to working in various factories.  He worked himself up to management in many shoe companies in Ontario.  He later worked for International Shoe Machinery Corporation, acting as President of the Canadian Branch in Montreal and Kitchener.  He moved to Nashua, New Hampshire in 1990, working closely with the President of International Shoe.

From that position, he ventured back to Germany, as an acting President of a company there for several years, until his retirement.  He travelled throughout the world, during his years in management.  He had many stories he shared of his experiences abroad, as well as his travels, after retirement.

Herb was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Kitchener where he professed his faith in God the Father, God the Son, JESUS and God the Holy Spirit.  God blessed Herb, with many years of good health and family times together.

He is lovingly remembered and missed by his son Paul and daughter Angela (Pauline) and husband Glen.  He was a loving grandfather to his five grandchildren Ashley, Nichelle (Matthew), Bethany (Darren), Alicia (Harpreet), and Jonathan.

He will also be remembered by his 10 great-grandchildren Ryden, Ariel, Samson, Titus, Connor, Declan, Ellie, Nia, Nova and Sebastian.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews in Ontario and Alberta.

Herbert was predeceased by his parents Emil and Paula, his sister Doris, his wife Ann, and his daughter-in-law Linda. Herbert now rests in the Arms of JESUS to await the resurrection of all flesh.

A private graveside service will take place at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo on August 2nd, 2025 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Faith Lutheran Church or Diabetes Canada may be arranged through www.erbgood.com.
