Obituary of Marinus Jerome Veenman

Jesus said, “I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” -John 10:11

With broken hearts, yet steadfast faith in our Good Shepherd, we announce the passing of Marinus Jerome Veenman, who entered  into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on the afternoon of Tuesday July 15. 2025. He was tenderly held in the loving arms of his parents, Garrett and Faith Veenman, who entrusted him into the arms of Jesus.

Though Marinus’ life was brief, it was filled with deep love, unwavering prayers, and the certain hope of eternity.  His name, lovingly given after his grandfathers, will forever be remembered with reverence and love. He is now at peace in the arms of Christ, who calls the little children to himself.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 9:30 a.m.  – 10:45 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church 136, Margaret Avenue, Kitchener, ON.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Marinus to the McMaster Children's Hospital. NICU Ventilator Fund, in gratitude for the care and compassion shown.

We mourn, but not without hope-For Jesus holds Marinus close and we rest in the promise that “He will wipe every tear from their eyes.”  (Revelation 21: 4). Until we meet again, sweet Marinus, safely home in the arms of the Good Shepherd.
