Obituary of Joseph Ferneyhough

 Passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025, at WRHN – Chicopee in Kitchener.

Survived by his siblings, Gerard Ferneyhough (Cathy), Mary Ferneyhough, Anne Jordan (Tony), Steven Ferneyhough (Stephanie), as well as his nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents.

Joe worked for Brittan Automotive for many years, and also drove a school bus for a number of years before joining Kitchener Transit, where he worked for 10 years.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Dr Kim, attending palliative care specialist, an amazing, humble and very skilled humanitarian. The Nursing staff were equally compassionate and tender in their care of Joe. Nicole was extraordinarily kind.  

All these interactions with medical professionals at WRHN were amazing. 

Joe's family want to sincerely thank Tony Bissonette and Don Graham for all their support, care and kindness to Joe in his final days. His Kingdom Hall family was such an important part of his life, and their support and friendship reflected this always.

Thank you for walking alongside him and us during this time.

The memorial service will take place at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 355 Gage Ave, Kitchener, ON, Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 2:00 pm. A reception will follow. 

Cremation will have taken place, and a private family interment will be held.

In lieu of flowers, condolences for the family and donations to jw.org or Grand River Cancer Centre may be arranged through the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S., Waterloo, Ontario.
