In Loving Memory of Sophia Catherine Linda Jackson
January 4, 2018 - July 15, 2025

It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of our precious daughter, Sophia Catherine Linda Jackson, at the age of 7. She passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, leaving a hole in our hearts that can never be filled.

Sophia was a bright, creative, and joyful spirit who brought so much love and light into the lives of everyone who knew her. This year, she began taking ballet at Star Performance Academy, where she found a deep joy in expressing herself through dance. It became a special way for her to share her energy, creativity, and passion with the world.

Sophia’s love for life extended beyond the dance studio. She was an avid Roblox player, often lost in a world of imagination with her friends, and she enjoyed watching TV with her brother and best friend, Hendrix. Whether colouring, crafting, or singing along to her favourite tunes, Sophia's enthusiasm and joy were contagious.

One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family. She loved watching hockey with her daddy on TV or going to Kitchener Rangers games, doing Snapchat filters with her mom, and painting nails, whether it was for her mommy or daddy. She loved having Starbucks with her mother as they bonded over their love of coffee drinks.  Her smile lit up every room she entered, and her laughter was the soundtrack of our happiest moments.

Sophia was dearly loved by her teachers and support staff at Wilson Avenue Public School, who admired her kind heart and bright spirit. Her caring nature and boundless energy made a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Though her time with us was far too short, Sophia’s love, creativity, and joy will live on in our hearts forever. She will always be remembered as a bright, shining light in the lives of her family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Survived by her loving mother Felicia Jackson (Johnston) and father Sebastian Jackson (Lesley Deshane). Her adoring brother, Hendrix Jackson. Her grandparents, Kathy Johnston, Shawn Jackson (Colin Ladd), and her great-grandparents, Kelly Eby and Linda Jackson. Her aunts, Marissa Jackson (Arturo Garcia), Noah Jackson (Joseph Borghese), her uncle Mackenzie Jackson, and her aunt Linda Stinson (Jim Stinson), and many, many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly.

Predeceased by her special friend Al Edmund, and great-grandpa Dave Eby. Great Grandpa Charles Jackson, and great-grandparents Fleming and Dorothy Johnston.
