Obituary of Hugh James McCorkindale

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Hugh James "Jamie" McCorkindale
on July 25, 2025, at the age of 81.

Jamie was born on June 17, 1944, in Kitchener, where he grew up and attended WCI. It was
there he met the love of his life, Donna, with whom he shared 60 wonderful years of marriage, until her
passing in May of this year.

He worked his entire career in the automotive industry, where he was respected and appreciated
by many in his field. Jamie began his career as a junior draftsman, and was very talented when
it came to details and creativity. He then used these talents later in life, sketching and
drawing amazing pictures adored by his family.

Jamie will be fondly remembered for his sense of humour, thoughtfulness, honesty, kindness,
and hard-working nature. He had a strong sense of self and always stood up for what he believed in. He
loved sharing stories and jokes, always looking to make people smile.

He had a love for photography and rarely went anywhere without his camera. He enjoyed
spending time in nature alongside Donna, spotting and identifying birds, listening to music, and
sharing his life with many beloved dogs over the years, especially his loyal companion, Darby.

Jamie is survived by his children, Chris, Ian, Kevin, and Debbie. He will be greatly missed by his
grandchildren: Shaina, Jaimie, Avery, Maddison, Lexie, Regan, Quinn, and Rhys. He is also
remembered with love by his sister Judy, his brother Rick, and his daughters-in-law Amber, Eleanor, and Angela.

In keeping with Jamie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
