Obituary of James "Jim" Harper Walker

An amazing husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the age of 92. Just one day after celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary with the love of his life, Edith, renewing their vows in a touching reaffirmation of their enduring love.

Proud father of Audrey and her husband John Martin, and Graeme and his wife Tracy. Devoted grandfather to Meredith (Tom) Kulafi (Blake and Gabby), Meghan (Tyson) Wentworth (Finley and Emersyn), Laura (Nathan) Miller (Olivia and Deacon), Tiffany (Cory) Fisher (Jace and Mya), Kaitlyn (Kyle) Martin (Esmae and Wells).

Jim was a member of AR Kaufman Family YMCA for 43 years, where he enjoyed many activities and developed strong friendships.

In keeping with Jim’s wishes, there will be no funeral, a private family day of remembrance will be held at a later date.

The Walker family would like to send extended thanks to Len and Isobel Crowe, and Jenny and Don Ogden, friends and neighbours, for all their support and comfort over the past two weeks.
