My condolences to all of Betty's family. June Kuehl notified me of her passing. I have known Betty for several years through Transport for Christ when I would come to visit my daughter & family in Waterloo.
Thank you for live streaming the beautiful service you had to honor her. May she Rest In Peace with her Savior. God bless you all.

One of my very first friends, we met when I was two years old and we became neighbours, part of the infamous Charnwood Court gang and all of us, to this day, remain friends. That was 52 years ago. Betty. I love and loved you so much. You were Mom's best friend, Mom and Dad's Euchre competitor along with Joe. (Remember when Snoopy peed in Dad's shoe???) What was Joe's key to winning? Sit the same direction as the bathtub? I remember there being some kind of theory that Joe had. When Joe passed I was honoured to sit on your team to continue Euchre nights. My favourite one was during Earth hour and we played Euchre by candle light. I will forever miss your vinegar and pepper coleslaw. And I still thank you for the extra tub of it that you'd send home with me after every meal at your place. I'd keep it all to myself and happily munch away on it, straight from the tub, infront of the tv. Eric LOVED your buttertarts. He raves about them to this day. Christmas Eve at your place was a highlight of my year, every year, as I grew up. Fascinated by the gazillion stockings hanging from your stairwell, presents seeping out of the diningroom. At Halloween you always had a special Trick-Or-Treat item waiting for my arrival. Betty, you had a heart of gold, a kindness matched by no-one (except maybe my Mom), you two were two peas in a pod,"Is the coffee on? I"m headed over." I can hear Mom calling you on her dial phone and then she'd pace back and forth across the kitchen as far as the cord would reach while laughing and chatting with you. I remember one time Mom and Dad went carpet shopping and Eric and Karen were babysitting me. I was probably six. I snuck my too-small-for-me bike out and couldn't make the turn at the end of the driveway. You had the most bizarre remedy. Putting cold cutlery on my forehead to reduce the goose-egg bump. From what I recall it worked. I'm still convinced your Charnwood house was haunted. And, yes I will finish my story about it someday. Betty, I am so very sad that you have passed away but I know that you are with God living your best heavenly life with Him. I miss you already. There are so many memories, you were a huge and significant part of my life. You always will be and I promise you that our families will never lose touch. God Bless. xoxo

Our sincere condolences to Cindy, Paul and all of Betty’s family. We were blessed to have known Betty and had many opportunities to visit with her at family get togethers over the years.

Are we limited to a few thoughts? What a gracious saint and what a terrific hostess. She "squooze-in" 10 of us frequently for a feast in her tiny dining area. We would not have ever known about tasty foil wrapped Lake Huron shoreline creations called "Bullhorns", or organizing a 20 man team of Northside B.C. volunteer roofers to complete her bungalow within 4 hours. Meanwhile she had more than enough food prepared for all of us 3X, expecting it to be an all-day event. Betty for a time unknowingly accommodated a mid-January transient in her aluminum garden shed. He was certainly frozen but once aware of it, via tracks in the snow, Betty had ways to make him more comfy. Betty was a fantastic example of "Spirit-led" Christianity and we who are also "In-Christ" are guaranteed to fellowship with her again! And we will, as long as Chef Betty is in charge.
