Obituary of Nickolas Arthur Martucci

January 25, 1984 - August 1, 2025

Nickolas (Nick) Arthur Martucci passed away unexpectedly, leaving a space that can never truly be filled. He was one of the most genuine, authentic, and kind people you could ever hope to meet. To be loved by Nick was to be cared for in the truest sense of the word.

He is survived by the love of his life, Lisa McCabe. His sister, Christina Martucci, who adored him beyond measure, and her husband Mike Power, who loved him like a brother. His mother, Debra Kocher, who held him close in every single way. His papa, Jose Martucci, who loved him dearly and with all of his heart. His stepfather, Scott Embelton, a steady and grounding presence throughout his life. His two beautiful cats, Tunta and Dunza, who brought him daily comfort and joy. His grandmother, Joan Kocher, along with all of his uncles, aunts, cousins, and extended family — each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Nick was a survivor of cancer. A fighter through the years. He carried so much, but he never let it harden him. Even in pain, even when he was the one who needed help, his first thought was always about others. He was the kind of person who would ask how you were doing before he ever mentioned what he was going through.

He never said a bad word about anyone. Not once. His heart was wide open. He wanted people to feel safe around him. He wanted to make sure everyone was okay. That kind of gentleness is rare. That kind of goodness is rare.

His laugh could change the energy in a room. He never failed to put a smile on your face. His hugs were unforgettable. Big and full and warm. If you were lucky enough to have had one, you know exactly what that felt like. He made you feel loved just by being near.

Nick’s faith was deep. Quiet, but unwavering. He believed in love. In forgiveness. In helping people find their way. He didn’t talk about it much, but you felt it in the way he showed up for others. In the way he listened. In the way he stayed soft, even when life wasn’t.

Please join us in celebrating Nick’s life at our home, 61 Westview Cres., Kitchener, on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

This celebration is for him.

But it’s also for the love he gave to everyone who crossed his path. His legacy isn’t just in the memories we hold, it’s in how we move forward. With a little more patience. A little more kindness. A little more care for the people around us.

He is missed more than words can express. And he is loved beyond measure.
