Obituary of Lawrence Paul Gemus

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at the age of 73.

Survived by his wife Sophia Adach, daughters Amanda Scott (Darryl) and Nicole Gemus (Ajay), grandchildren Lukas, Jacob and Mia, and his siblings Elizabeth (the late Larry), his late twin sister, Gail Salminen (John), Cathy Gemus and Michael Gemus (the late Lisa), and many more extended family members and friends.

Predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Betty Gemus.

He was an exceptional husband and father whose love and humour lifted spirits. An avid athlete with a passion for football, hockey, and baseball, yet his greatest joy was found on the golf course, where his competitive spirit and love for the game shone brightest.

Special thanks to the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital and the staff at Hygate retirement home. 

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held in October, please watch for details on Gary's social media.
